Hello! I am participating in a blog hop organised by Kylie and Bruno Bertucci as part of their Demonstrator Training Program. We are a group of Demonstrators from around the world who are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and to reach some goals that we have set. So, whether you are a regular visitor or if you have hopped in from another blog, I am delighted to welcome you here to my blog!
Throughout the hop we are sharing ideas and inspiration for Thank You cards to send to our customers during April. For today's project I wanted to highlight the same suite that is featured in the All Star tutorial bundle this month - the New Horizons Suite.
This suite is a joy to work with. The watercolour style of the Designer Series Papers effortlessly gives an artistic feel to the cards. You can purchase the product suite HERE. If you place an order with me during April 2022 you will receive one of these cards as a thank you for your purchase together with one of the video tutorial bundles as a gift.
To make my cards I cut a piece of the patterned paper using the Stitched Rectangle dies, and you can cut two from each sheet of 6" x 6" DSP. I embellished the little scenes with stamped images, die cuts and enamel pebbles. The pictures were then layered onto a coordinating piece of cardstock, leaving a narrow border, thereby creating a frame. I chose to use combinations of Basic White, Misty Moonlight, Sahara Sand and Evening Evergreen.
Further layers were added to the little pictures before mounting them onto the card base. I used the Timeworn Type 3-d Embossing Folder to add some texture to the larger neutral layers and the Basic White version was embellished a bit more by tying ribbon along the horizon!
I had fun creating my variations on a theme - by changing the background paper and embellishments I soon had a batch of cards!
Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you have been inspired! As mentioned at the beginning, this is a blog hop so make sure you hop ar0und to see the other amazing projects on the hop! Click on the links below to visit them.
