Butterfly Beauty thanks

Hello and welcome to my blog.  I'm delighted to be taking part in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights for December.  The theme for this month is Gratitude and thankfulness.

The best bit about this Highlight is that you can vote for your favourite five projects in the galleryAt the end of the voting, the top ten winners will get the chance to be part of an international blog hop later this month.  I would love to take part in the hop so I would really appreciate it if you would visit the gallery and VOTE for my card.

My card today uses some brand new products that will be available in the new Spring/Summer catalogue that launches in January 2019.  As a Demonstrator, I am able to purchase from this catalogue before the launch date, and I have been itching to experiment with some new items.  This highlight was the perfect excuse to unwrap some of my new goodies.

We have a season ticket to our local zoo where there is a Butterfly House.  On each trip to the zoo I love to see the butterflies - especially when the weather is inclement outside.  Their delicate wings and their vibrant colours fascinate me.  I decided to use the Beauty Abounds bundle which is all about butterflies comprising of a stamp set and a set of thinlet dies.  There are two butterfly stamps, a selection of words and what I'm going to describe as filler images.  There are two groups of bubbles that you can see on my card and a splatter type image.  All of which are useful for adding that little something extra.  I foresee that these will be used on many cards!

The dies are nothing less than fabulous.  Two large butterfly dies layer, one on top of the other, filling almost the entire card front.  There are five butterflies hovering within the one die cut.  Whilst I used the complete, page filling die cut there is definite scope for snipping and pruning to create smaller, individual images.  I can't wait to experiment further!  The colours I used today are Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather.  In addition to the two large dies, there are numerous smaller butterflies and accents.  In total, the set contains 20 dies.

The 'thanks' stamp has a handwritten look and sits neatly in the centre of the card on top of the gorgeous striped ribbon.  The butterfly dies are so stunning that I have only added a little extra embellishment in the form of Glitter Enamel dots which come in a variety of colours and sizes.

Creating this card has reminded me that I am thankful for inspiring days out to the zoo and for being able to create with wonderfully coordinating products.  Posting this card out will be a joy.

Thank you for visiting me today.  If you have enjoyed my project I'd be really grateful if you visited the gallery and voted for my project!
