Fabulous Frosted Floral

Hello again!  Look how fabulous the Frosted Floral suite looks teamed up with the gold foil-edged cards.  I think they make quite a pair.

These cards and envelopes are trimmed with gold foil and come in packs of 20 - perfect for anniversaries, weddings and the festive season.  Aren't they luxurious?  They are available in silver too.

After I had die cut some of the images from the First Frost bundle I stamped them, in a variety of colours, with the help of my Stamparatus.  I gathered together some of the colours used on the Frosted Floral papers, some sponge daubers and experimented.

Sometimes when I use a stamp set for the first time I use the catalogue as a starting point.  Afterall, it's filled with inspiration. This time, however, I used my selection of flowers and built a bouquet.  Now, I'm not much of a flower arranger, but I'm happy with how this posy looks.

The richness of the gold edging on the card is complimented with the layer under the sentiment and the gold foil foliage.  The Gray Granite leaves are textured using the Subtle embossing folder and some of the flowers are popped up on Dimensionals to add height. The whole layer is wrapped with Tranquil Tide velvet ribbon which is pinched in with a linen thread bow.  Finally, the petals and leaves have been brushed with some Wink of Stella shimmer.

I have noticed that my go to products at the moment are my Stamparatus, the Subtle embossing folder and my Wink of Stella pen.  They are in use constantly and always in easy reach on my desk!

Do you own a Stamparatus? Did you know that you can now purchase accessories for it?  In addition to the Stamparatus and magnets that were launched in the Annual Catalogue, you can now also purchase another set of plates, foam mats and Grid Paper perfectly sized to fit.  The Grid Paper has both metric and imperial measurements (just like the full sized paper).  For multiple stamping the extra plates will be invaluable.  Think about the possibilities with your multiple step stamps and mass producing your Christmas cards!

What is your go to product or tool?   These products are available from my online Stampin' Up! shop, and you can follow the links below.

  1. Karen that card is gorgeous. You’re right, those gold foil edged cards set the flowers off beautifully.

    1. Yes! The foil edge really acts as a frame.
