Random Acts of Kindness Blog Hop with Waterfront and Abstract Impressions

Welcome to the Random Act of Kindness (RAK) Blog Hop.  You are visiting Karen Henderson in England.  I am so happy to be showcasing the cards I have given and received as part of the Random Act of Kindness Group on Facebook.

Each month, we each select a few people from the Group to send a RAK card to, to brighten their day. Please feel free to join the Group if you would like to participate in the RAK cards movement (blogging is not mandatory). If you would like to join our awesome group here is the link to the group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/randomactsofkindnessgroup/

These are the cards I sent in July - I only just made it to the post in time!

I loved the Waterfront set as soon as it was available and the samples I saw made me even more excited.  However, that also made me a bit scared of using it...would my pictures look right?  I used the images in the Spring/Summer catalogue to help me while I practised!

The scene is so pretty, it is good enough to frame and the words are special too.  I was privalidged to receive an amazing swap using this set - the scene was in neutral tones of Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.  My version is in cool, calming blue tones.  I think I need to use this set some more.

My last card was one that I designed for a class - the Garden Impressions papers set off the die cut butterfly brilliantly and the card just needed a few rhinestones to finish it off.  Afterall, a little sparkle brightens up any day.

This was fun to make and the new papers and dies matched, with the new Shaded Spruce card, made it a hit during the class.

These are the cards I received during July:

Tania Tobin - this gorgeous, textured card travelled half way around the world to me.  I smiled as soon as I opened it.  Although I do have several orchids, I do not have this stamp set, so I really appreciated receiving this card and reading the letter you enclosed.

Holly Paplow - I love the Share What You Love papers!  This card shows them off wonderfully.  I've added this design to my list of ones to try!

Sara Seyers - Hearts are my favourite shape, and this is a beautiful one layer card that actually has lots of dimension because of the "layers" of colour.  I'm smiling, because I have another thing to try.

I hope the projects you've seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day.  You are currently visiting Karen Henderson.  Please see the list below & hop around all of the people on the list to see all our projects. You don't want to miss any!
