Run, Run...You Can't Catch Me, I'm the Cookie Cutter Gingerbreadman

Today, I have another Z-fold card for you and this one is a real cutie using the Candy Cane Lane papers, the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamps and the cable knit embossing folder.  This is a new type of folder that gives deep, dimensional embossed impressions.  And it really feels like knitting!

You can see the cable knit background a little more clearly here:

The coordinating punch that goes with the stamp set, makes it really easy to cut out the gingerbreadman and the bow tie.  The stamps and punch can even be bought as a bundle, saving 10%.  Then, he is finished off with metallic enamel buttons.  The little sentiment which is raised and shiny, because it has been heat embossed with gold embossing powder, can only be seen when the card is open.

These cards were such fun to make.  I hope you like them

OnStage Local...

As you read this I will be with hundreds of other demonstrators enjoying OnStage Local in Telford.  Yesterday, I showed you my pile of ingredients that went into creating my swaps.  Now it is time for the reveal!
I'm really pleased with how this worked out.  It is perfect for a whole host of occasions, and uses one of my favourite colours.  When it is folded up, this Z-fold card is a 4" square.  Remember the pile of ingredients?
Once all the pieces are cut up the production line assembly can begin...
A step at a time...
After each step the card looks a little nearer the finished product...

Then finally, the card is complete!
I hope that you, and the others that I swap with, like this as much as I do.  I'm feeling excited just writing this down...

Get ready, set, go...

My bags are packed - one with a few clothes and a second with all the other things I need for OnStage Local in Telford.  The excitement has been mounting over the last few weeks and today I'm travelling to Telford for the fun to begin.

Every six months Stampin' Up! hold events, called OnStage, that demonstrators can attend.  This time the South Pacific market is hosting the main event, but demonstrators from other markets around the world can also participate by attending an OnStage Local event nearer to home.

Events are fantastic fun - seeing old friends and meeting new ones, learning about new products, swapping and more! Swapping is great because you get to share what you have created with lots of different people and in return you have something to keep that they have created. Trading ideas and making memories.

I have made 50 swaps, and all I'm telling you at the moment is that they are cards and they were made from this pile of ingredients!
Pop back tomorrow and I will show you what I have made with these pieces of card.  Until tomorrow...

More Vintage Leaves...

The sun is shining today, the sky is blue and so there are lots of reasons to say "Thank You" today. The vintage leaves stamps are beautiful, and I can't resist showing you another card from my series using these wonderful images.
I make and send lots of "Thank You" cards, for all sorts of reasons. I have a little collection of thank you cards that are made and ready to go when they are needed.  I wonder what I will be saying thank you for with this card?
My custom made, wet wipe ink palette carried on inking my stamps for a long time...and all from six drops of ink! This card is finished off with burlap ribbon, gold natural trim and a couple of metallic enamel stars.  Natural and rustic with a bit of sparkle and shine for good measure!

Every season has a story...

Autumn is well and truly here and I have another Autumnal card to share that was made using my own wet wipe palette of colours. I found the wet wipe technique quite addictive and I created several cards at once.  As the palette is used the colours become less vivid and more muted, but colourful nontheless.

The dainty leaves line up on top of the hardwood background and are finished off with a sentiment from the Project Life All Year Long accessory pack, which includes a stamp set, cards, wooden shapes, clips and washi.
Butterflies and flowers are the next candidates for the wet wipe treatment...but that might be a project for the spring when we can look forward to softer colours and blossom emerging on the trees!
