Humble Home Bundle for the New at SU! Blog Hop

 

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I am participating in the New at SU! blog hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative papercrafting ideas to share with you to get you crafting. We are creating projects using bundles or suites from either the September to December Mini Catalogue or from the Online Exclusives offering to highlight how great bundles and suites are!

I've chosen to use the Humble Home bundle which comprises a stamp set and a coordinating punch. Samples using these products are showcased on the front of the Mini Catalogue...and I knew I needed them as soon as I saw the cover!

I used a square die from the Stylish Shapes set to create an aperture in a Thick Basic White layer and embossed it with a the Snowflake Sky 3-d folder to create texture. I used the same folder on the Pool Party background layer. 

Using the Humble Home punch I cut several hearts from Early Espresso card and lined them up at ground level behind the square aperture. They create a neat fence-like border which echoes the scalloped detail on the gingerbread house. The house itself is white heat embossed on Early Espresso card and cropped out using the punch.

The aperture is sealed with Window Sheet, surrounded with strips of Foam Adhesive Sheet, filled with some of the adorable White Loose Snowflakes and backed with the embossed Pool Party layer before adhering it to an Early Espresso layer. The snowflakes are a perfect filler for a shaker card. They are just the right size.

The sentiment is white heat embossed and cropped out with another of the Stylish Shapes dies. Inadvertently I added retired silver trim behind the sentiment, but the narrow Silver Trim would work equally well (and is not retired!). The Frosted Forest dies include some wonderful tree silhouettes which I couldn't resist adding to the rear of my house and then the final touch was a trio of faceted gems. Love their sparkle.

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am taking part in a blog hop with some fellow enthusiasts who love sharing their creative talents using their Stampin' Up!® products.

This month in the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop we are creating projects using a Tic-Tac-Toe grid for our inspiration. The idea is to use the elements from a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line as the starting point for a design.

I'm using the diagonal line from top left to bottom right for the ingredients for my card; Fall, Fun-Fold and ribbon, although I did take liberties with the ribbon element and I used Linen Thread instead!

I love Fun-Fold cards and I'm always on the look out for different ones to try. I saw Jacque Williams demonstrate a cascading pleat fold card and this is my take on it. I selected Autumnal colours, some Nests of Wineter DSP and the Changing Leaves bundle to create this Fun-Fold Fall card.

The Blackberry Bliss card base is folded accordian style to support the cascading layers. The largest, Copper Clay layer at the back is embossed with the Changing Leaves folder to give a deeply etched pattern of falling leaves. The DSP on the middle layer provides a backdrop for the posy of fallen leaves which are arranged on a Blackberry Bliss layer. It has been overstamped with the largest leaf stamp using Versamark ink for a subtle tone on tone effect.

This little layer is decorated with a selection of die cut leaves creating a posy and has  lengths of Linen Thread wrapped around it before it's added it to the card using dimensionals. The small die cut label is perfect for the white heat embossed sentiment and I've finished off with a trio of Garden Green gems.

It was great to have the Tic-Tac-Toe board as a starting point, and I'm so happy that I have found another fun-fold card to try. Unbounded Beauty Suite - All Star Video Class Bundle Blog Hop September 2024

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am delighted to be part of the All Star Video Class Group. We create a Video Class Bundle with exclusive tutorials complete with photos, video directions and a supply list that includes both Metric and Imperial measurements, and we also hop together each month sharing another project using the same suite.

Thank you for joining me today for the All Star Design Team Video Class Bundle Blog Hop for September 2024. At the start of each month, each of creates another project using the featured suite of products to give you even more inspiration. Here is my additional Unbounded Beauty Suite project.

I produced a lot of confetti flowers while I was creating my video class project which provided the ideal excuse to create a shaker card today! 

The Unbounded Beauty Bundle includes an array of wonderful dies which create labels for the sentiments and I decided to use them to create multiple windows for my shaker card. I used three shapes to die cut four apertures into the gorgeous Petunia Pop designer Series Paper - these particular dies cut a hole and a frame at the same time! Next, I cut the same shapes out using Basic White card (backed with Adhesive sheet) so that I had white sticker frames. Once I'd added some window sheet behind the DSP I was able to nest the white frames into the holes on top of the DSP.

I added some narrow strips of dimensional to create pockets around the holes for the confetti to sit in - I used some left overs from a kit, but you could use foam adhesive strips or slice up foam adhesive sheets/dimensionals. Add enough confetti into the pockets to be able to see it, but do not overfill or the pieces won't jiggle around, and then add a layer of Petunia Pop card to seal the confetti in. This whole element is then mounted on to a top folding Basic White card base.

The DSP and the frames are decorative enough that the card didn't need too much in the way of extra embellishment, so I simply added a framed, white heat embossed hello to complete the card.

I still have an abundance of confetti flowers to use, so there could be more shaker cards in the offing! I hope you feel inspired to create with this wonderful suite, and maybe make a shaker card too! Let me know what you think in the comments below.
