Thanks with Paper Florist for the International Highlights Winner's Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog. Earlier in the month, I participated in Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights and after the voting had closed I was delighted to find myself in the Top Ten!

For my card for today I have chosen to use the same products again: the Paper Florist, Dainty Delight and Fresh as a Daisy dies teamed with the thanks from the Biggest Wish make a lovely combination! Whilst I used some of the same design features using an alternative colour combination gives the card a different feel. Here, I have used Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.

I made a slim-line base from Highland Heather card. (I am trying to use up my stash of the thin, wide envelopes that Stampin' Up! used to sell but a business envelope would work too!) Over the top of a layer of Gorgeous Grape I added an embossed layer of Vellum cardstock - I love how adding the texture creates a white hue to the previously plain vellum. 

The diagonal layers of card are decorated with die cut flowers and foliage together with Iridescent Pearls and Glittered Organdy ribbon. Adding layers of the delicate foliage gives depth creating a bouquet of flowers, on a card, all tied up with ribbon. The white heat embossed thanks, which is raised and shiny, completes the card.

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am taking part in a blog hop with some fellow enthusiasts who love sharing their creative talents using their Stampin' Up!® products. This month the Stamping Inkspirations blog hop is all about Christmas in July using a range of Stampin' Up! colours.

The challenge for us to find inspiration from the Hallmark 2023 Dream Book. You can see several of our colours on the front cover; Wild Wheat, Sweet Sorbet, Pecan Pie, Cherry Cobbler and Pretty Peacock.

For my palette I selected Pecan Pie, Cherry Cobbler and Pretty Peacock. These three colours have such a rich regal feel to them, perfect for Christmas cards! Although I deliberated about the Cottage Wreath stamps and coordinating dies last Autumn, I didn't buy them until they appeared in the Annual Catalogue. So, this is the first time I have used them and I know that they will be well loved and used for Christmas and Autumnal projects.

My favourite way to create frames at the moment is with the Radiating Stitches dies from our Online Exclusive offering. The nesting dies make it so easy to add layers to a card. As it's Christmas, I added very skinny layers of Distressed Gold paper behind each of the die cut layers. I love the hint of shine that it adds.

The Pretty Peacock layer is overstamped with the fir leaf foliage - I stamped off the image so that there is just a subtle impression. The wreath itself is also stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and it's so clever how the stamp generates a varigated image. On top of the stamped wreath I added several gold heat embossed holly leaves - a Christmas wreath would not be complete without holly! Nor would a Christmas card be complete without Gold heat embossing!

The wreath is popped up on dimensionals allowing room for the die cut leaves and the Simply Elegant Trim bow. As a finishing touch I added some holly berries using adhesive backed Festive Pearls.

All Star Design Team Blog Hop - Earthen Elegance Suite

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am delighted to be part of the All Star Video Class Group. We create a Video Class Bundle with exclusive tutorials complete with photos, video directions and a supply list that includes both Metric and Imperial measurements, and we also hop together each month sharing another project using the same suite. This month we are using the Earthen Elegance Suite.

Thank you for joining me today for the All Star Design Team Video Class Bundle Blog Hop for July 2023. At the start of each month, each of creates another project using the featured suite of products to give you even more inspiration. Here is my additional Earthen Elegance Suite project.

The sentiments in this suite are written in an adorable Art Deco style font which I absolutely love and wanted to feature in my card. I stamped them in a staggered fashion across the front of a piece of Gray Granite cardstock using Pretty Peacock ink, both full strength and stamped off for a lighter shade. The tall vase is die cut from Designer Series Paper and the short one is stamped on to Pretty Peacock card with matching ink. They are filled some gorgeous foliage die cut from Copper Clay, Distressed Gold and Pretty Peacock.

One of the dies in the set acts like an embossing folder. It can be used to add texture to the vases or, as I have done, to the background. I positioned the embossing to ground the pots. The Thank You layer is mounted onto a slightly bigger layer of Pretty Peacock card, which in turn is adhered to a top folding card base which has been covered with DSP. Inside there is another vase simply filled with stamped images.
