Love of Leaves - Hope changes everything

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing another card using the Love of Leaves bundle. I am enjoying the rich, vibrant Autumnal colours in my garden at the moment. When the leaves turn from green through orange, red and yellow you know that Autumn is in full swing. I rarely fall for Autumnal sets, but the dies in this one have well and truly grabbed my attention! The stitched edges and the skeleton veins on the leaves really are special.

The square Early Espresso base card is topped with a layer of Mint Macaron and a patchwork of squares cut using the Stitched Shapes dies. The inlaid leaves are cut from Early Espresso and Metallic cardstocks and this, together with the Linen Thread wrapped around the layers, adds a rustic charm to the card. I love how the stitched edges on the squares emphasise the stitching on the leaves.

The sentiment is stamped on a thin, skinny banner of Mint Macaron card which is laid over the top of the Linen Thread. I think those three little words are quite thought provoking. Hope changes everything.

While I write this post, I can't help thinking of myself as a little girl, donning my wellies and scrunching through the leaves with my Mum and my Grandad. We used to do that lots. Perhaps I need to pull on my boots and go out for a walk in the woods and take a trip down memory lane!

There is heaps of autumnal inspiration contained in the Autumn Mega Bundle of tutorials. I collaborated with Demonstrators from all over the world to create a bundle of 82 tutorials featuring products from pages 44 to 51 in the August to December Mini Catalogue. You can purchase the Autumn Mega Bundle HERE for £17.00

Kylie's Demonstrator Support Program Blog Hop October 2020

Hello and welcome to my blog. Bruno and Kylie Bertucci's new Demonstrator Support Program began this month, and today I am happy to be taking part in a blog hop with some of the other participants.

My house is in complete chaos while the kitchen is being refurbished - it's contents are strewn around the house and it is really difficult to locate anything. My craft stash has not been disrupted as such, it's just hidden behind layers of things that used to be stored in the kitchen! It has been a pleasure to carve out some time and space to do something a little creative.

My card for this month's hop uses the Arrange a Wreath Bundle. The bundle is a versatile set with elements that lend themselves to use throughout the year. I do love a good production line when I am making cards - once I have decided on a design and chosen my colours I find it very satisfying to replicate it. I enjoy creating the piles of ingredients and turning them into cards, step by step. Each pile is stamped, embossed or die cut to make more piles ready to be assembled into cards!

I have used the In Good Taste paper and an embossed layer to create the background for the die cut wreath. There are plenty of textures in this paper pack ranging from wood grains to tiles and bricks and I chose three different embossing folders to go with them: Brick & Mortar, Pinewood Planks and Woodland.

C
omplementary colours were used for the circles of leaves and they just needed embellished flowers and a thanks to complete the card. So pretty! The really fun bit is writing them out and either hand delivering them or dropping them into the postbox!

I am really happy with my batch of production line cards. Here you can see the three diffrent designs.

Thank you for visiting my blog today - you are currently visiting Karen Henderson. Please look at the list below to see who to visit next. I am sure you will find lots of inspiration on your journey around the hop. Make sure you don't miss any!
