From Our House to Yours
Thank you for joining me on a very exciting blog hop! Earlier this month it was so much fun to share a card on Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights. Visitors to the Highlight are encouraged to vote for their favourite projects and then the winners are invited to take part in a hop together, which is what we are doing here.
I am
thrilled to have been voted in the Top Ten this month to enable me to join this
hop today. You can see the card I shared in the Highlight HERE. I want to say a big Thank You to everyone who voted for my card, I really appreciate it. So,
today is the day that I am hopping with the other winners. You may be starting
here or have come from the person before me in the hop – that is fine! You can
sill hop all the way around and not miss one. The list is at the end of this
post.
The theme for the hop is encouragement. Sending a card to someone can really make a difference to their day whether it is to say Get Well Soon or even a simple Thank You. It is great to be on the receiving end of Happy Post and it gives me a heartwarming feeling to send those Happy Post envelopes and to drop them into the letter box.

The stamp set I have used today is from the Autumn Winter catalogue and, although it includes Christmas sentiments, it is perfect for sending messages to friends and loved ones. From Our House to Yours has darling little mix and match house images to construct striking images with. Then, the sentiment 'from our house to yours' on the front of the card sets up the most important bit of the card which is the handwritten message on the inside.
I have stamped on Whisper White card and mixed and matched Merry Merlot, Night of Navy and Pretty Peacock ink for the houses. The stamps are photopolymer to make lining up the images easy. The trees are stamped with Soft Suede and Pear Pizzazz. Gray Granite card is added as a neutral background to the colour scheme and I have used the Subtle and Brick & Mortar embossing folders to add the texture to the layers. I have sprinkled a few Happiness Blooms Enamel dots to finish off the cards.
Thank you for visiting my blog today, you are currently visiting Karen Henderson. Remember to look at the list below so that you can visit all the other winners.

Another Scenic Snow Front Scene
Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I have another card for you using the Snow Front stamps. I have to admit that I am a little obsessed with these stamps at the moment, and I can't stop using them.
This time I have made a snowy scene with Pool Party hills, Mossy Meadow trees, a Basic Grey ski lodge and a dear little snowman, in Smoky Slate. Isn't it cute! The snow drifts that ground the scenery are in Pool Party. The ink has been stamped off onto scrap paper first, to give the impressions just a hint of colour impressions.
The addition of Ice Stampin' Glitter transforms the scene into a winter wonderland. There is even a little Wink of Stella glitter on the roof top and the snowman. The layers are neat and narrow and fit snugly on a Smokey Slate sized notecard.
I am trying very hard to tidy away my stamps and card after each creative session. It is so much easier to get going when you start with a clean desk. After I had made this card I started the tidying up but, I spotted my new Purple Posy ink and decided to give another colour combination a go before I put the stamps away. So, I pulled out the Pretty Peacock and Soft Sea Spray pads too. What a lovely icy combination that is!
I have used an identical layout for the stamps, but I used Shimmery White card this time. Indecision then took hold and I couldn't decide how to mount the decorated layer. Pretty Peacock notecard or regular sized card? Or a regular Soft Sea Foam base? I have ended up with a few cards that I can add to my Christmas card pile, which is great! Which one do you like the best?
