This month we have all been creating with the adorble Peaceful Poppies Suite. This card is to whet your appetite for the type of project you can look forward to in the tutorial - it is not the project included in the bundle.

The design of this card is simple, yet versatile and it allows the beautiful DSP to shine. The colours scheme is limited to, and dictated by, those used in the DSP. It's all in the coordination!

The monotone background is created on the base card by repeatedly stamping the smaller of the two poppy stamps from the Painted Poppies set using a coordinating ink. A square of  the beautiful DSP sits snuggly on coordinating card. The skinny border is just enough to frame it perfectly.

Next, I have used the Poppy Moments Dies to create a two tone poppy in the same colours as the base card and the layer for the DSP. The leaf is alos two tone and uses Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.

The flower is popped up on dimensionals over a luxurious label made with the Painted Labels Dies. Look how special the embossed border all around the edge is. It's a perfect size for either the Thank You or Happy Birthday sentiments in the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
I've used two different sheets of paper with the same layout resulting in some really pretty cards. I hope you like them too. I'll leave you with a closer look at a sneak peek of my project included in the Tutorial Bundle

Click on the names on the list below to hop around and see all the other gorgeous projects from the rest of the team - Enjoy!

  2. Beautiful ! I love your layout with the block of DSP to the top leaving a band of space at the bottom. It really helps to show off that flower x
