Signs of Santa's Little Helpers

Welcome to my blog today.  I am so excited, and a little bit nervous, to be taking part in a Blog Hop with other Demonstrators in Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Group.

I have a fun, sparkly Christmas card to share with you today using the cute Santa's Workshop Suite of products.  They are such cute images.

The patterned papers in this suite are absolutely adorable.  In addition to the cute imagary, some of the papers also have a raised, flocked finish to them and some of the images can be cut out using the framelit dies.  Today, I have only used the polka dot paper for my background and I have stamped and die cut my images because I wanted to do some colouring using my Stampin' Blends.

I used my Stamperatus to help me prepare lots of cheeky elves and cheerful Santas to colour in.  The colouring was very relaxing.

I set up my Stamperatus with a batch of images and stamped them onto Whisper White card (without removing the stamps).  Next, I die cut the images, saving the sheet of card with the holes in, which is now my index sheet.  The first set of images is ready to colour.  Next, I cut out lots more images from Whisper White card (no stamping on them).  To stamp the blank images the index sheet is placed back into the Stamperatus and the blank die cuts are popped into the holes.  Ink up the stamps again and press the plate closed and you have another set of images eady to colour in.  I love this technique as you only have to line the dies up around the image once!  I hope that the picture will make the description clearer!  If you have any questions, please ask me.

A Christmas card making session would not be complete without some sparkle...especially when the images are so cute...so, I have added some snowflakes, die cut from Sparkle Glimmer Paper, and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter on Santa and his Elves.  There's also a twist of silver metallic thread.  Even though I was very careful with the glitter, when I looked in the mirror I noticed that I had ended up with a very sparkly face!!  Ho! Ho! Ho!

I hope that you have enjoyed my Christmas project today.  Have I inspired you to make a start on your Christmas cards?  You are currently visiting Karen Henderson, and I'm in the UK.  Please see the list below and hop around all of the people on the list and see all our wonderful projects.  You don't want to miss any!

Glad you found the Stamperatus tip useful - so much easier only having to line the die up around the image once!
