Saying Sorry with Painted Harvest

Hello and welcome to my blog.  I made this card for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights for October.  The theme for this month is SORRY and I'm super excited to be taking part again.  The best bit about this Highlight is that you can vote for your favourite five projects.  The top ten winners will get the chance to be part of an international blog hop later this month.  I would love to take part in the hop so I would really appreciate it if you would VOTE for my project.

The Autumn weather in England has been glorious over the last few days.  Even though the days are now starting a little on the chilly side, the sun has shone so that we have enjoyed some really bright sunny days.  That said, there is no escaping that we are in Autumn.  The leaves on the trees are turning.  Their display is beautifully rich and provided me with the colour inspiration for my card.

For the sunflowers I have stamped onto Crumb Cake card using Crumb Cake and Merry Merlot inks to create the rich coloured petals.  Soft Suede ink, topped with a sparkly coating from my Wink of Stella pen, was used for the centers.  I have repeatedly stamped the sunflower images aroung the edge of the card creating a halo of blooms and leaving an aperture in the center for the words.  The gold 'Sorry' image is heat embossed onto Merry Merlot card and then fussy cut out leaving a generous border around it.  Behind the 'Sorry' there are a few twists of gold metallic thread and it's popped up on dimensionals.

I always have a box filled with cards that are ready to send, and I think I will add this one to the collection  - just in case I miss someone's special day.

Thank you for visiting me today.  If you have enjoyed my project I'd be really happy if you visited the gallery and voted for my project!

As always, happy crafting,
