First Frost Fancy Fold

Welcome to my blog today.  I love making all types of cards and at the moment I seem to be in a 3-d phase.  I am so enjoying making some fancy fold cards.  On this card, the sentiment is attached to the z-fold panel on the front.

I've opened up my pack of the gorgeous Frosted Floral Designer Series paper and as I looked at the paper there was a lot of "oohing" and "arring".  The patterns are beautiful and the paper has the most wonderful pearlescent sheen to it.

I have also used the First Frost bundle of stamps and dies (remember: buying the bundle saves you 10% on the individual prices of the stamps and dies).   I die cut lots of Whisper White flowers, thistles and leaves and then used my Stamparatus to stamp up the multiple images.  It is such a time saving way of stamping lots of die cut shapes and you can see how I did this with Signs of Santa set here.  I used sponge daubers to apply the ink to the stamps enabling me to use multiple colours on one stamp.  I also used a dauber to apply Frost White shimmer paint to the Gray Granite foliage resulting in a mock silver, frosty finish.   To echo the pearlescent sheen on the pattered paper I used Shimmery White card to stamp the sentiment on.

This special cards is perfect way to give a Gift Card.  It is fairly small, only measuring 4" tall by 3" wide, but it requires a special envelope.  I pulled out my Envelope Punch Board and made a matching envelope from a 6" by 6" piece of matching paper.  I can make six of these adorable cards and matching envelopes from two sheets of the specialty paper.  Fabulous!

Who will you make a card for today?

As always, happy crafting,
